SmileyWorks was born from a simple frustration — a world full of instant information, where getting a lab quote still meant phone calls, waiting, and guesswork. So we built something different. A dental laboratory that respects the intelligence of the professionals it serves, and the time they don't have to waste.

Meet the founder

Hi, I'm Jam — owner of SmileyWorks Dental Lab and a dentist by background, graduating in 2018.

SmileyWorks has been a journey built from the inside out. What started years ago as an in-house denture lab after COVID, supporting our own clinics, has grown into a full-service dental laboratory providing dentures, crowns, and restorative work for our practices and external clinicians.

Originally known as JT Denture Lab (yes… named after myself — I was younger and probably thought a little too highly of myself), we rebranded to SmileyWorks around three years ago to reflect the bigger vision: building a modern, dependable lab centred around quality, communication, and doing things properly.

Alongside the lab, I own a group of seven dental sites across Wales and the South West.

Whilst I no longer practise full-time, I still occasionally help with sedation cases and surgical procedures, which keeps me close to the realities of clinical dentistry. That perspective shapes everything we do at SmileyWorks. I understand the frustrations clinicians face — poor communication, inconsistent quality, restorations that don't fit properly, and labs that feel disconnected from real-world dentistry.

SmileyWorks was built to be the type of lab we always wanted to work with ourselves: collaborative, responsive, and genuinely invested in helping clinicians deliver great dentistry.

Based in Cardiff, we combine clinical understanding with modern digital workflows to support dentists with dentures, crowns, implant restorations, and advanced full-arch solutions.
